Question about SanDisk Sansa e250 MP3 Player
Sansa device will not turn on, no screen activity or menu...dark. the Blue ring around the control button is always on and will not turn off. We thought that maybe it needed to be charged. But the behavior hasn't changed after 8 hours of charging
Okay, heres what you do.
try holding the power slider up for like 30 seconds.
then let it go, then turn it on like usual
it should work fine after that....

I'm not sure why, but these things have some sort of lock mechanism other than the "HOLD" button. What you have to do is hold the power button and slide the hold over. That works for mine.

This will fix it;
Run the recovery tool from the SanDisk website. Make sure you select "format" when prompted.
You need to put the device into "recovery mode" before you run the tool.
- Turn the device off (hold power for 20 seconds)
- Slide the hold switch into "hold" position.
- Press and hold the "record" button while connecting it to your computer. Keep holding the "record" button until you see the "new hardware found" on your computer.
Then run the recovery tool. Select format when prompted.
Best of Luck.

What you do is hold downt the power button for 15 seconds and it will reset the system. Dont worry, it wont lose your songs.
