Delete history skype

Take a look at Delete Skype History program (http://deleteskypehistory.com/). It works with desktop and Windows 8 store app Skype versions. It can remove conversations with single or more contacts which you select. It can also clean all your history everywhere (on all devices) and nobody will be able to restore it.

if you sent Skype messages less than 1 hour ago, just right click on a message and select "remove" menu item.

If messages are older you need a special tool like "Delete Skype History Network Edition. The program deletes messages not only on your computer and mobiles but your partners' devices as well. Delete Skype messages on all devices

go into call forwarding,then go into privacy.then one the right hand side you will see the word clear history click that then click apply.
this should clear all info.

2. In the menu bar, click Skype then Privacy...
3. Under Keep history for, click Clear history.

To resolve this problem, please make sure that you are using the latest version of Skype.
However, if the same error happens again, follow these steps:

1. Quit Skype. If you can see the Skype icon in the taskbar (at the bottom right of your screen), right-click it and select Quit. If you cannot see the Skype icon, use Task Manager to close Skype: press Ctrl+Alt+Delete and click Start Task Manager. In the Applications tab, select Skype and click End Task.
2. Make sure that you can see hidden files.
   On Windows XP:
   
   1. In Windows Explorer, go to Tools > Folder Options.
   2. Click the View tab.
   3. Under Hidden files and folders, tick Show hidden files and folders, and then click OK.
   On Windows Vista / Windows 7:
   
   1. Click Start > Control Panel > Appearance and Personalization > Folder Options.
   2. Click the View tab.
   3. Under Advanced settings, tick Show hidden files and folders, and then click OK.
3. In Windows Explorer, navigate to the following folder:
   On Windows XP:
   
   • C:\Documents and Settings\\ApplicationData\Skype
   WindowsVista / Windows 7:
   
   • C:\Users\\AppData\Roaming\Skype
   Where is your Windows user name.
   
4. Locate the folder with the same name as your Skype Name and delete it.
   This will delete your chat history. To save your chat history, copy all the .dbb files and the 'chatsync' folder to another location. You will be able to transfer them back (described in step 6, below). Please note that we cannot guarantee your entire chat history will be restored.
   
5. Restart Skype and sign in with your Skype Name and password. If you forget your password, these instructions tell you what to do.
6. The folder you have deleted will be recreated. If you saved your chat history files (described in step 4, above) transfer them back into the folder with the same name as your Skype name.

follow these steps:

Step 1- Open up skype as then click on "tools" in the top right hand corner.

Step 2 - Select "options"

Step 3 - Choose the "Privacy" icon on the left hand side then click on "Privacy Setttings" from the exanded tab.

Step 4 - Look in right side of the menu about the middle vertically. You can see the option " Keep Chat History for" just select "no history" click save and you are done.

To also delete your old chat history just follow the same steps above then

Step 5 - Click on the form button that says "Clear Chat History"

Click save and you are done.

I hope this helps you all out there. I know privacy is a big concern of mine online and I would not want anyone else snooping in my chat history. Good luck

Hi there, Dear user, the best way to delete all the messages from skype is
1. Turn on Skype 2. Click on Tool menu 3. Go to Options... 4. Click on Privacy tab 5. Click on "Show Advanced Options" button 6. Click on "Clear History" Option It will confirm you before deleting the history Click yes if you are sure and ready to do it. 7. Save it and you are done.

1. Open Skype.
2. Click tool then options
3. Then in the Right column click IM & SMS
4. Then under IM & SMS click IM setting.
5. Then in the left column KEEP HISTORY FOR... and clear setting

On the menu bar Click on Skype and then click Privacy


Click on Show Advance Option



Click on Clear History



Then click save and you are done.
