Mms in stead of sms

My v3xx razr sends mms all the time. how do i solve this issue?

    When I try and send or download mms messages it doesn't work. It won't receive them and when I try and send them it gets stuck on 0% and then it stops and says "error" or something.

    Razr continues to send MMS instead of SMS after sending one picture. I delete all of my sent messages and inbox and then I can send regular text again but when I send a picture message it gets stuck in MMS mode until I delete them all again. How do you fix this?

    I have the exact same phone, Motorola RAZR V31. My friends have been complaining that they have to "download" all my texts. I had no idea what they were talking about... so I sent myself a text. sure enough, i had to download it just like an MMS. I checked the message settings, and it was stuck in MMS mode. every text I created became an MMS. AAGH! I could find no help on the ATT website, and FINALLY I stumbled onto this page. So I followed the advice and emptied my inbox and outbox. Now the problem is fixed.



    ...now I am dreading my wireless bill. I wonder how much they'll charge me for several weeks of sending about 30 MMS a day. **gulp**

Have you tried deleting your inbox and outbox. Sometimes RAZR phones have problems with the texting and email when the number of text are alot.

Razr v3x sends mms only
Cleanup your Inbox/Outbox, and then pull out battery and sim card for 30 seconds. That should fix it up.

My phone will not send SMS...only MMS.
If there are too many SMS messages in your phone it will start sending all messages as MMS. All you need to do is delete some of your texts.

This is a result of your inbox and outbox being too full.
If you clean up your messages from your inbox and outbox it should solve your problem

Motorola razor v3
Hi dude,
I m sorry. U lack knowledge regarding about SMS/MMS.
SMS=short messaging. It is only for text messages.
Similarly, MMS=multimedia messaging. It is for sending text with animations or photos, video clips, etc.
U need to have MMS connection in ur mobile to send text with animations.

RAZR V3XX - sends my texts as MMS, rather than SMS...
I had this same problem and called Motorola for support. The solution is to clear text/mms message inbox and outbox. The default setting on my phone was to never clear the inbox but I changed that to remove messages when they are 10 days old, I have not experienced the problem since.

MMS is default for messages
I had this problem develop for my Razr V3xx, but after emptying out all my messages in my inbox, outbox, and drafts, it returned to a normal text message format. Hope it works for you as well.
