Question about Dell 924 All-in-One InkJet Printer
SOURCE: Dell 926 Printer ink refill instructions
i want to know how many contanners the printer users.
i don't have this type of printer, but this is waht you are going to do. take one of the empty cartridge and scratch the nuzul on a what peace of paper. this in most cases will give you small lines which you can use to identify the colour.
if you can do this it will help you
go to a shop with the printer number, where they sell printer cartridges. Tell them you want one of the cartridges, if they have take a close look at them and tell you will came back later but ask them how you will know the black ink since you want to buy that one.
in this way you can identify the two
thank you

SOURCE: How to install ink into printer 926 dell
There should be a button on your printer, you would need to press it in untill the carriage moves over into the install new cartridge position, you will know when it happens you should hear it.
Take out old cartridge 7 install a new one, normaly when you shut the lid down the printer will automaticaly do a head clean better known as priming the cartridge, you should then be ready to print.

Testimonial: "Didn't find any button to push"
SOURCE: I refilled my dell ink cartridges from Costco. Now
The ink is fine in the cartridge. The ink level indicator just thinks the cartrdige is still empty. You can ignore the message or turn it off all together. Just bring in your cartrdige for a refill when it shows signs of fading or streaking. Go to www.inkjet411.com for more help

Turn on your printer.
Lift the printer unit, and then position the scanner support
between the tabs to hold it open.
Press down on the ink cartridge lever to raise each ink
cartridge lid.
Remove the old ink cartridges.
Store the cartridges in an air-tight container, such as the
storage unit you received with your photo cartridge, or dispose of them
properly.
If you are installing new ink cartridges, remove the sticker
and transparent tape from the back and bottom of each ink cartridge.
NOTE: The following illustration shows a black cartridge and a
color cartridge (used for normal printing). For photo printing, use a photo
cartridge and a color cartridge.
Snap each lid closed. Hold the printer unit up, push the scanner support back to unlock it, and then
lower the printer unit until it is completely closed.
Insert the new ink cartridges. Make sure the black or photo ink cartridge is
secure in the left ink cartridge carrier, and the color ink cartridge is secure
in the right ink cartridge carrier.
Lift the printer unit up. Position the scanner support beam between the tabs to hold the printer unit lid open. The ink cartridge carrier moves to the loading position in the center of the printer.
Press down on the lever in front of the right and left ink cartridges lid. The lid opens and raises up.
Remove the color and black ink cartridges from the carrier. Inspect the cartridges to ensure that it is compatible with the Dell 926 printer. The proper cartridge is called Dell 926 Standard Capacity Color Ink and Dell Standard Capacity Black Ink.
Examine the cartridges for any tape over the ink nozzle. New cartridges have a strip of tape covering the bottom of the cartridge that must be removed before installing into the printer.
Insert the cartridges into the carrier so the label is on top with the color logo side going in first. Press the lid down to snap it into place.
Push the scanner support bar back to release it. Lower the printer unit until it is closed.
Turn the printer off. Restart the computer. Turn the printer on. If the error message appears again, the cartridges may be defective and needs to be replaced.
I hope this clears up your problem.
Good Luck and Have a Nice Day!!
The ink cartridge carrier moves and stops at the loading
position unless the printer is busy.
