From your question, I don't know if you're looking for an amp board, or preamp board. These two functions may be covered by multiple boards. In any case, they are no longer available. Your unit would need to be troubleshot by a competent audio tech to the component level. If you need more assistance, or would like to inquire about a repair, please visit my website, audioserviceclinic.com. Thank you.

Technics su-v96 turns on, but makes a clickin noise 3-4 times and then no sound. Its still lit up but nothing from any input. What is wrong with the unit?

if you open the panel look around for some blown fuses. be sure to unplug the receiver before and let it sit because there are two capacitors in there that hold a lethal charge of electricity. it could be a fuse but most likely its dead. probably a transformer or amp failure.

SU-G91 amp over load wont reset.

Technics SuG91 uses a couple of SVI ( I think they are SVI ) packs for driving the speakers. These are big black plastic things mounted to the silver finned heat sinks. 95 % of the time, this is the problem. They are not very tolerant to any type of abuse, and all the amp has to do is overheat once and they are toast. 1 The SVI packs are expensive and that amp may not be worth fixing. If you know how to de-solder something, and are comfortable working with voltages that can kill you, you can unplug the amp, make sure it has been unplugged for at least 20 minutes, and gain access to the area of the circuit board that the SVI packs are soldered to. De-solder one of the packs and remove it from the unit. Make sure that when you de-soldered the SVI pack that you DID NOT accidentally solder one solder hole to another ( create a connection from one hole to another that shouldnt be there ) . Re-assemble the unit correctly, plug it in and turn it on. If the display lights up, you have removed the offending unit and need another one. If it is still in protection, then mark the one you took out as "possibly good", and repeat the removal procedure for the other SVI pack. NOTE if you decide to replace the SVI pack yourself, you will need heat sink compound ( that goo that stuck the original pack to the heat sink ). you will need to remove the old stuff ( a rag and some alcohol will work ) before you apply new heat sink compound. If you are uncomfortable with ANY OF THAT, then take it to a shop that offers free estimates. Good luck and BE CAREFUL....Rob

Svi 3204

If these are model numbers, you would need the part number of the IC. If the IC is specific to Technics, it is most likely to be unavailable. Technics output IC SVI 3206A. Would anyone have any idea where a guy could find one of these without having to buy 20 of them @ a smooth 115$ a pop?

Check out Allied Electronics...if they don't have it then they will be able to steer you the right direction.

Technics amp SU-X999. I need an output I.C type SVI-4004

NAother option is to fix a universal amplifier kit into the set which powers from the same voltage preferrably a MOSFET drive which are very much available in the market and can be suited into the set. They will alos be very effficient but take care tto do the fixing mechanically , connecct the right power and groung with good shielding. Disconnect the old amp totally and use the power lines that come to the IC. I hope this works for you. Good day

I am trying to locate a replacement SVI 3023 IC, as used in Technics SA-R230L Tuner/Amplifier. Thanks, Dave.

The SVI3203 is no longer available. If you can find an SVI3205 (it too is no longer available), you can substitute. Where are you located?
