The set has started to make a constant clicking sound. It happens on all channels. Any idea what to check or does it sound like it needs to be serviced?
Fixed it by lowering the sound on both the TV and the cable box and then raising each to a listenable level.Fixed it by lowering the sound on both the TV and the cable box and then raising each to a listenable level.

Are you referring to static (random snapping, crackling, popping) that only occurs when you are handling the radio, or a steady hissing sound when turned on? The first may indicate the radio has a defect or loose internal connection; the second is reduced by adjusting the squelch setting. More information is always helpful.
Your speaker may be blown take out the speaker that is hooked up and attach another one a house speaker would even work, and i bet your speakers are blow if not check the wires and make sure you have them connected properly if not check the wires going to the harness and to the speaker and if not i think the radio is fried you can also take a long speaker wire take radio out the dash and run it to the speaker if it does still the radio is fried take it back before 90 days is up!
Ahh, that channel is blown. Its not 100% blown. This has happened to my freind before, and from my long knowlage in audio, the channel is blown, and is not fixable. If you REALLY are attached to it, you could probably bring it to a shop that fixes receivers, but best bet is to let it go
Your soundcard is going bad. The easiest way to fix is to replace with a new soundcard. Depending on what features you want the price could be anywhere from $35 to about $140. Hope this helps.
I CHANGED THE AUDIO SETTING UNDER HDMI FROM AUTO TO MANUAL AND I REMOVED DOLBY 5.1 FROM SELECTIONS.LEFT THE OTHER 2 SELECTIONS THAT WERE ALREADY SELECTED FROM AUTO SET FOR HDMI I HAVE NOT HAD AUDIO PROBLEMS SINCE.
Dust does cause some problems but not this mabe bad audio ic or bad speakers or capacitor near audio ic or bad tuner could cause this sorry for so many suggestions I oun a video repair shop i gave you all the things it could be
It sounds to me as if possibly ya Main IC Amp Chip & OR the Output Capacitors are failing... Sometimes it is a sign of a power supply on it's way out... Either way it's time for a repair shop quote.
Either that or it may be the speakers crossovers... to check this, if you can, try another set of speaker... see if problem is still there. If it IS, then it IS most probably as I said above.. If NOT then it may be one or both of the "Crossover Network" in each speaker...
