Apple.com I5 phone update now phone will not ring or TXT

If you have not already, go into your settings app on the main screen and select Sounds

In the Sounds menu, set the ringer and alerts to maximum (you mentioned you cannot hear it ring)

Make sure the tab is set to ring and not vibrate on the left top side of the phone.

Make sure the volume is set to maximum by toggling the volume tabs on the side of the phone.

If all this fails to work, try a software update of the firmware, (you would be surprised how many problems this can fix)

Having done these steps, it is possible that the internal speaker is itself broken. Assuming it is a hardware problem there is nothing more to do other than to take the phone in for repairs.

Go to settings than sound and select appropriate ringtone and volume

go to Settings > General > Reset > Reset network settings. If this dsnt help then try to do a powercycle by pressing down the home button and the on/off button on the top both at the same time until you see the apple logo.

If you still have an issue with it then try updating the software on the phone itself which is def bound to help. Also if you could try another sim card in the phone just to make sure that the sim is ok.

Try doing a restore from your summary page in itunes on your computer. If that doesn't work, make an appointment at an apple store or call 800myiphone to get it replaced.

try connecting it to the computer. that usually does it for me.

you most likely have a hardware issue that needs to looked at by a pro at an apple store. you could also perform a reset by holding the power and home screen buttons until the phone resets.

try to disable 3G, go to tools >> settings >>phone >> metwork, change it to GSM if its on 3G
