On my older phone, and all my friend's answering machines, some going back to the Dark Ages - deleting messages, wholesale deleted those messages. Go to message - inbox - pick the old message, press option then delete. All the old message will be erased. If its Nokia go to message - delete message - select the from the options (All read, inbox, drafts, sent items). Thanks

Hello! The answering machine will automatically save messages if you do not delete them; Even in the event of a power failure. It can hold 15 minutes of messages. After 15 minutes machine will "wrap" writing over the oldest message. An old message (listened to) can be deleted by holding erase for more than two seconds. Pressing Mailbox X (1-3) will delete all Old Messages in that box. Once deleted they are gone forever...
After its deleted then its deleted forever. These are not like the old answering machines that all you did was pull the plug and plugged it back into the wall outlet to retrieve old messages was were deleted. When digital you can not do that....Sorry
When first turned on, select "messages." then down arrow to inbox or outbox. Select choice. For outbox, down arrow to SENT. Select. Hit the center button. scroll down twice to delete the one message. Scroll down once more to delete ALL messages from the sent outbox. Confirm and out they go!
Now, does anybody know how to email text messages so they can be saved?
