There is a control unit that is apart from the keypad. There should be terminals that allow you to connect lights and alarm devices. It would be a big help if we knew the model of the system that you have.

I need to replace my Honeywell ademco keypad M6674 Rev A. I have a vista 10 control panel. What model do I replace it with?

I am not familiar with this keypad, but if it were me, I would look to upgrade the control panel to a Vista 20P, although it's a bit involved...which keypad to use as a replacement depends on whether the current unit is wired or wireless. For wired, a 6150 or 6160 is appropriate, wireless perhaps a 5828 would be suitable...you might get a better answer by contacting Honeywell directly.

Why would the alarm stop making sound.

Is their an on board fuse on the control panel. Also what you could do to troubleshoot is disconnect the siren red wire ad touch it to a 12vdc terminal on the panel. Make sure you are not touching it to a 120ac terminal. Are you talking the keypad makes no noice or the siren does not work?

How do I shorten the delay time once my system is armed?

depends on the control that you have the 6150rf its self does not determine what the delay is depends on the panel you need to get into programming with the installer code 800 and know the correct programming slot you can easily down load a programming guide for your panel if it is residential look for the 20p programming guide if its a mutch older panel look it up

Lynx touch stuck in arme away -bypass

At the bottom of the touchscreen there should be 4 tactile buttons. One looks like a pyramid with an ! in the middle, one looks like a house with a person standing outside, one looks like a padlock that's unlocked, and the other one looks similar to an old style alarm system keypad. If you press the button with the icon that looks like the open padlock, the screen should come up and give you the option to enter your 4 digit code to disarm the system. Enter your 4 digit security code and the system should disarm. If this doesn't work, or if you don't know the valid security code, you should contact an alarm dealer for service.

I have a Ge Simon Xt Alarm and i want to hook up a external siren(part 13-950)I received a 4.7 resister with the siren and 50 ft of wire. How do you attach the resister between the red and black wire?Do...

Wire nuts are ok if the siren is indoors. Gel filled connectors are better if you are mounting the siren outside because they keep the connection from corroding. The resistor needs to go between the two wires you are hooking up. The color of the wires you will are are generally red and black. If your siren has a yellow wire, you can use it instead of the red to get constant siren instead of the "whoop, whoop, whoop" sound that sirens usually make. Putting the resistor at the siren will make sure that it is supervised. That means that if someone cuts the wire going to the siren, it will alert you at the panel. If you put the resistor at the panel, nothing will happen if the wire is cut.
