All the troubles I've seen with this model are because of the LIFI lamp. Panasonic warrants the lamp assembly for four years from date of purchase. Call Panasonic toll free hotline or go online for an authorized warranty shop. Good luck
It is. And I hope you some cash set aside for this extremely costly repair.
I once had a rear projection TV and was told by the repairman that each of the 3 flourescent lamps run about $200.00 to replace.
Needless to say I did not get it fixed
Look for a used Panasonic PT-47WX42F One in Local ads, Or place a wanted ad for your model. ~ Or if you want A new one, Get ahold of a TV Shop And OR Panasonic and be ready to spend lots of $$$$ ~ And yes there easy to replace!, Make sure you have a large clean area to work in, And a helper. Becarful and replace them back in as they came out! ( Top Bottom) they should be marked with a small tag or mark.... Geo*
There should of been a protective screen for this model. Here are some links to obtain original replacement screens from a major Panasonic distributor if needed:
well it gets real compicated, if you are good with electronics and can take apart and put back together the inside the projector needs cleaned or the easy fix replace light engine about $600.00 rebuilt
