Signs of a CRT going old, are bad focussing, unnatural colours and hues of a certain colour (red, green, or blue) if you watch black/white pictures. In colour pictures, black sequences also show hue.

Where can I get replacement picture tubes for my Signature 2000 television set?

I would not think that they would exist now, Tubed televisions and monitors are very old technology and when I was working in the mid 90's there was almost none spare around.
What existed was put straight into the production line.
I have another concern that some of the last tubed monitors came with what I call an extra focus to compete with flat screens sharpness. This resulted in a flyback transformer that had three presets on it, those I came across had blown up their respective tubes because of over voltage applied.
It would be worth checking if yours has this development and if so then I would give up because parts will not be around.
If you have a blurry/soft picture due to low emission then a heater booster transformer to give it an extra 10 or 20% but they may not even exist now, if it is going bright or dark then that may be a sign of G2 voltage problems which is that transformer issue and destined to "pop"
You may be lucky but I would not bother, sadly a sign of the times as they say.........

When i turn on tv set the sound comes up but no picture why?

Hi,

Pull the back cover and check the capacitors on the power supply. If there are any that are bulging or show signs of fluid leakage, replace them.

If that doesn't fix your no picture but sound issue then you have a bigger problem. The tube is having problem.

Call a technician to fix another tube for you

Thanks.

Colors going bad on my tv?

The picture tubes in Zenith sets (I assume it's a Zenith since you posted this with a Zenith heading, although it's also true for any set this old) were only expected to last around 7 years. Your description makes it sound like you are missing green, or that the green is just way low. This is a common sign of a bad picture tube. There are other possible causes, but tube failure is the most likely. The low replacement cost for small TV sets makes repairing this one uneconomical.

Get rid of the set and treat yourself to a new one.

Picture blinks for about 4 minutes then comes into clear picture

Is the flashing get more rapid as the set warms up and even once its on is the picture somewhat out of focus around the corners? If the answer is yes then your picture tube is showing signs of age. The older they get the lower the emissions are. The replacement picture tube part number 8-735-048-15 is showing a cost of 741.45 from the following web site. Please take a few moments to rate my answer. Thanks...

Panasonic 27'' tube television

There are some components in the vertical deflection circuit area that are failing. An experienced TV service man should be able to troubleshoot and repair this for you. It could take several hours of labour cost.

Turn on pic turns red with thin bright red horizontal lines

Sorry to say, but that's usually the sign of a bad picture tube. One of the elements inside the tube shorts and you see the picture you describe, and the set shuts down due to high voltages getting to places it shouldn't. There's no solution except picture tube replacement, and that is uneconomical. You're better off replacing the TV when the tube goes bad.

Sony kb-35fbv1 35" tv

This can be a sign that the picture tube is starting to fail. If you feel comfortable working with the back off, try the following:

With the back off, locate the flyback transformer (part with large red wire coming out the top). There should 2 adjustments available on this transformer. Turn the top one (screen control) slightly clockwise, this should allow the set to work as expected. If that is the case, the picture tube is starting to fail and the adjustment has bought you time to find a new set. The lower control is for focus. Note: if you turn the control too much, the picture will be really bright and you will see the retrace lines as well.

Keep us posted.
