I'd look at a bad panel, the defective panel damaged your main, replacing that got it working somewhat but if it's on very long I'm guessing you will damage the main board you replaced. Try unhooking the ribbon connectors one at a time and see if half the picture works ok, if so you definately have a bad panel
Hi is your television running through a foxtel box or something else that has volume control, If so you might have one or the other turned all the way down, turn both volumes up and control every thing through one remote control.....
Could be backlight or the Invertor. While the sound is operating shine a flashlight into the screen and see if you can see the picture or not then let me know and I will assist you. But I will also need the model number of the set.
What you are seeing is the mode used to flash your phone. Why it is showing up IDK. You can get to this screen while holding down the volume down button on your phone while turning your phone on. Quite possible something is replicating this volume down key. Maybe play with your volume button and try to turn your phone on or hold the volume up when you turn your phone on and see if you can get by this.
Look fo the switch that has two setting. one of them will say LCD and the other Migt EVF if you have a view through your view finder this is your problem.
I lived with it for about six weeks, then took the back off the TV. Just now it seems to be fixed, but I don't know if it will last.
I disconnected the wire leading to the channel up/down, volume up/down and source board, turned on the tv, turned it back off, reconnected the cable, and everything seems fine now.
