Remove ALL media from the machine DVD, CD, USB, etc. Check/reseat all Monitor cables. Reboot. If that fails, unplug , plug back in in 30 seconds or so. reboot, if you get a Dell Logo, Open the boot Menu and select Boot from HDD first.
well it can be many things first make sure that everything in the computer is still in place. if everything is then did you do any upgrades to the computer then if not then your computers video card in broke or your mebo chip the computer is broke. does your computer come on and if so does the hard drive light just staying on or is it flashing?
It's the processor or power supply. I cant be sure of which without checking it.
Check the fan over the processor heat sink to make sure its working cause it could mean that the processor is overheating If the fan turns and then it cuts off this could meant that the processor is dead. or the bios is corrupted. Try flashing the bios, there is a battery on the main boad, remove it. unplug the system first... when the battery is out press and hold the power button for 10 seconds then release. put the battery back in and try to turn it on..
If that fails then try a new power supply or one from another system to to check if the power supply is fine. YOu can aslo bridge the green and any black wire from the power supply's mainboard connector to see if the power supply runs. If all this fails then you may need to replace your processor,, I';d also recommend changing the power supply as well.
Can you see a green light on located on the mother board ? I had the same problem with mine right after the warrranty was off, The mother board failed, But you should make sure thats it first by making sure everything Inside of the computer is tight and secure.Unplug and make sure there is no power on and unplugged,Before you touch anything inside your computer discharge any static electricity by touching the metal on the inside of the tower. The Memory modules Make sure that they are pushed in securely in there slots and video card is Pushed in and tight, and any other extras you may have plugged into it, After you do all that put everything back and try to reboot see if that get you up and going.
