Sounds like audio output IC is bad.Hope this helps. It is on the center circuit board on a little heat sink directly in front of the large Convergence heat sink. It is referred to as IC3E01 and the part number is LA4663. Hope this helps. Let me know if i can assist you further.

I am attempting to connect a Verizon Fios QIP6200-2 HD set top box to my Mitsubishi WT-46805 HD TV using the Y, Pr and Pb RCA connections (no HDMI port on TV) I cannot get any HD channels to work.

The set will have two component inputs, one is NOT HD.

You want to connect to the DTV input which if you look from the back will be marked 480/1080 I .

Also double check the connections to be sure blue-red-red and green to green.

Half Dead mitsubishi wt-46805

This condition can be caused by multiple failures, however this unit has chronic bad yoke connections. Difficult repair for a layman but not for a tech or shop. Most likely 200 to 250 for that repair. Other more serious failures sure to cost more.

Mitsubishi WT 46805 ~ Picture gone..... :0(

Good Day, Corri;

It sounds like the TV has a Circuit problem in the convergence circuit. If it comes and goes then the concern can be corrected by re-soldering the 'conv' output IC"s. A semi-minor repair and cost.

Good Luck, big IRISH.
