I have an old 40gb Lacie external harddrive, but have lost the power cord. I have the old USB connector, but it does not show up on my current iMac or on my old Classic iMac. On the bottom it has 40GB U2&I2.

  • Peter Dragonetti Jun 12, 2014

If it is external maybe it need a power supply or a replacement of the original one, hope it helps....

  • Peter Dragonetti Jun 12, 2014

is it 2,5`` or 3,5`` harddisk

  • Peter Dragonetti Jun 12, 2014

is it 2,5" or 3,5" It is sounding like you do not use the right power supply pls look here : here is one possible power supply, pls. check the specifications :https://www.lacie.com/us/products/produc...

from what I read here you need that lost power 'cord' which will be the power source to make it work.
If you want to get the right item go here:http://support.digidave.co.uk/index.php?...
Fill in the form with EVERY BIT of information you have and they will be able to serve you with the correct PSupply. They have the item you need in stock. They need the full name and part number of your Lacie drive. If not on the outer case you will find it on the inside of the case.
    Good Luck
    Ray

How do I correct error U2-40 on Sharp AR-M236

Hi,
U2-40 is the error code for the toner cartridge.
It indicates a fault with the chip in the cartridge.
Try entering simulation mode to reset the error first, to do this make sure the machine is in COPY mode.
Then press the following 4 keys in order: #*C*
then enter 16 & press the copy start key.
Then follow the instructions on the screen to reset U2 error.
When complete, press CA key to exit simulation mode.
If the error re-occurs then the toner cartridge will have to be replaced & the machine reset again as above.
Hope this helps.
Dave.

Excel Tool VBA Password Recovery

Are you looking to unlock a protected sheet or actually recover the password? I can help you with the former.

Note this will only work to unlock a worksheet. It will not recover the VBA editor password (however this is possible by very hard to explain.)

1) Open the excel sheet you want to unlock,
2) Open VBA editor, (Alt+F11 while in excel)
3) add a module (insert > module)
4) and paste in this code into the main window (big window on the right)

Sub PasswordBreaker()
Dim i As Integer, j As Integer, k As Integer
Dim l As Integer, m As Integer, n As Integer
Dim i1 As Integer, i2 As Integer, i3 As Integer
Dim i4 As Integer, i5 As Integer, i6 As Integer
On Error Resume Next
For i = 65 To 66: For j = 65 To 66: For k = 65 To 66
For l = 65 To 66: For m = 65 To 66: For i1 = 65 To 66
For i2 = 65 To 66: For i3 = 65 To 66: For i4 = 65 To 66
For i5 = 65 To 66: For i6 = 65 To 66: For n = 32 To 126
ActiveSheet.Unprotect Chr(i) & Chr(j) & Chr(k) & _
Chr(l) & Chr(m) & Chr(i1) & Chr(i2) & Chr(i3) & _
Chr(i4) & Chr(i5) & Chr(i6) & Chr(n)
If ActiveSheet.ProtectContents = False Then
MsgBox "One usable password is " & Chr(i) & Chr(j) & _
Chr(k) & Chr(l) & Chr(m) & Chr(i1) & Chr(i2) & _
Chr(i3) & Chr(i4) & Chr(i5) & Chr(i6) & Chr(n)
ActiveWorkbook.Sheets(1).Select
Range("a1").FormulaR1C1 = Chr(i) & Chr(j) & _
Chr(k) & Chr(l) & Chr(m) & Chr(i1) & Chr(i2) & _
Chr(i3) & Chr(i4) & Chr(i5) & Chr(i6) & Chr(n)
Exit Sub
End If
Next: Next: Next: Next: Next: Next
Next: Next: Next: Next: Next: Next
End Sub

5) Then either:
5a) go back to the excel window, click Developer > Macros > select PasswordBreaker
6) Or just hit the play icon (green triangle) in the top of the VBA editor

This will unlock the sheet, and give you a password which will unlock it in the future.

Note: Due to the encryption method used in excel, there are many possible passwords which will unlock the sheet. This will give you "a" password which will work but it will not be the one that you originally set up. Both the original and this one will still work.

Windows 7 driver for buslink CS-160-U2

Rather doing a driver hunt which can take hours http://download.cnet.com/slimdrivers-free/3000-18513_4-75279940.html Windows XP/Vista/7/8
it might take some time being a freeware driver solution Note: it will find all of your outdated drivers
This will automatically search for and find the correct driver you will have to update every driver individually once you update you might be asked whether you want to restart or make a system restore point.

Click no to both of these then continue updating each driver free then restart once all of the drivers have been updated.

Hope this helps

I dont have a CD driver for my microtek eyestar camera. can i have a link who can help me install my camera?

This has the same chipset as a Microtek Eyestar U2s and works on Windows Xp.

(XP DETECTS THE CAMERA - EXTRACT THIS FILE TO A FOLDER THEN USE CONTROL PANEL'S DEVICE MANAGER TO 'UPDATE DRIVER' AND POINT IT AT THAT FOLDER.)

If you are satisfied, please rate or/and leave a testimonial. Thanks!

IF I HAVE A MOTOR WITH STAR DELTA WINDING AND NO LABELING IS DONE HOW WILL I CONNECT THE CABLES TO THE MOTOR

the motor will have 3 pairs that can be checked with a ohm meter for continuity. each pair has a start and a finish. usually it would be labelled U1 V1 & W1 for the start and U2 V2 & W2 for the end or finish.

To connect in star ( Motors that start with direct load ) supply cables to U1 ( Red ) V1 ( White ) W1 ( blue ) and bridge out U2 V2 & W2.

To connect in delta Supply cables as above. Bridge U2 to V1 - Bridge V2 to W1 - Bridge W2 to U1.

If you have a reversed winding the motor will growl and not turn.
To reverse direction of rotation swap any 2 supply cables ( But only when the power is OFF )
