Please attempt to push out some test staples at different angles with your mastercraft. That is, I'd like you to rotate 90 degrees 4 times and attempt to push a staple each time. If it works only at certain angles, then we know that something has come apart within the mastercraft. And you've already applied oil on the mastercraft which is good. If possible, please swap out the staples and attempt to sho ot with the new set. Otherwise, I think Home Depot or Lowe's should be the next stop so they can examine the device and determine how to troubleshoot.
I think your stapler/nail gun is a Mastercraft product but am not sure. Here is a phone number one purportedly can use to call for replacement parts. Hopefully, they might have information as to the staples your device uses.
Look for a jam in the gun.Sounds like a brad is "hung up" in it, probably right at point where it feeds into the mouth of the firing point. Be sure you unplug it before you do this.
