One side is working normally, I believe the other one may have a short of some sort in it, what would cause this?

Most probably the problem lies in the cord leading from your PC to the main speakerbox. This should be a standard DIN plugs stereo cable. Try wiggling this cable a bit and see if there are any changes, just to make sure that it is this cable. But even if there isn't any change, the probability of anything else going wrong is highly unlikely. If your PC gives normal stereo sound on headphones (eliminating the PC as a problem) then there's 99% chance that this cable feeding the audio signal is bad. You'll need to replace it with a standard DIN plugs stereo cable.
If however your PC does not give a stereo sound to headphones then double-click the speaker icon in the right lower corner of your screen, and see the output settings and output balance. The balance should be set to 50/50 so both left and right channels get the standard volume level, and that the output is set to standard stereo output.

My Panasonic DMR-EH55 recorder produces no sound anymore after 3 years of good functioning. There is no sound on TV through the scart interface and also no sound through the analog audio interface to my...

Did you get anywhere with this? I have a similar problem with a DVD/PVR from Woxter. I've tried different cables and changed many of the settings without luck. I've seen a couple of posts which suggest changing country and sound settings (to PCM), so I'll check them out before I call in a repairman to check out the circuitry around the sound output.

Echo when connecting Samsung Plasma to Onkyo TX-SR602

Make sure you have the tv volume turned right down as this will cause an echo, also set amp to prologic 2, and set up xover to suit your speakers or go for the THX standard of 80 hrtz and as a rule of thumb set front L,C,R speakers to zero rears to about +4or5 and your sub to -5[ dont know which speakers you have but try setting the subs on board volume to the 10,o,cloak position],also make sure the speakers -,+ are wired the same at the amp and speakers.

Hope this helps.

Input problem

If you have the original remote, hit video, source, or input button, if it dont have them, then try to change the tv to channel 00 (zero or zerozero), if not then the channels might have to scroll to it, from channel 02 down to make it loop, if it goes to the next highest channel, then you need a remote. It may be set in the menu options to have the video source not saved to your list of saved channels. when you scan the channels, the tv might not look for the A/V source (audio / video), maybe just the RF source. The 3 DVD RCA wires are 1 video and 2 stereo, one stereo for left and one stereo for right. The TV has only 2 , 1 for video and 1 for mono 1 channel sound. This wouldnt have anything to do with why you cant use the DVD player. but try that with the original remote (or a universal remote that is set to your tv set that has either video, input, source or something similar. It is what tells the tv to change from the cable source (RF) and the AV source (the Red White and Yellow plugs, in your TV's case, 2 plugs, one yellow and the other either red or white or something). Dont really know how to explain it much more but hope it helps.
