If you have a desktop computer ,try connecting monitor cable to laptop,u may get the display.

It sounds like ur lcd or the inverter board has a problem.

Check the BIOS battery. If possible, remove it and put it back to reset the settings.

Upon loading press F2 or del to enter bios setup and change the settings to display the acer welcome screen and the one you said about Microsoft logo and white box with green lines, you cant by pass it because it's windows loading screen

there is a os problem try to run system in safe mode or format it

Aspire One uses Atom process and its very small. it get hot easly and there is a fan on it also fan is so small. you need to change to fan. take the service.

sounds like a hardware error (systemboard or display) - i'd recommend to call acer support

Well...your backlight inverter are busted.... need replaced a new one or repaired it.

OS means operating System and HDD stands for Hard Disk Drive.
When u turn ur system on is it already black or it shows the bootscreen like ACER logo etc. and then goes black.
If thats the case then ur OS has crashed. Try installing new one.
And if its black right from the start then i think it is a hardware failure.

usally bad motherbord u can try using anther power pack but i dought will help seell it on ebay for parts
