Webcam not workign on yahoo messenger

Try this solution

Follow the instructions below to use your webcam
Click on Start then >Control panel>hardware and sound >device manager>imaging devices>web cam....enable it
Another way is to use a IM application like Yahoo messenger,NetMeeting,etc. They will have video capabilities that will work with your webcam.

how to open a webcam

connect you cam and install the driver for your cam and if you have any messenger installed login to your messenger and start your web cam. if you don't have internet connection for offline testing you can use msn messenger. Go to tools and options and web cam !!!!

open the yahoo messenger then click the tab messenger then preferences-web cam here you can set you web cam to work on camera settings and camera source then apply and ok .

when i login on yahoo messanger and connect my web cam that time during brodcasting i cant see image in cam, same time camera idicates that its working properly, i'm using asus eee pc 4g series notebook,
plese sugest me that what to do

No driver Needed For Webcam In Xp open my computer and see there a icon for your webcam double click on it and check it. if u not found it then Right click on my computer and click on manage and then click on device manager in list click on imaging device and check there is webcam listed or not. reply here if your problem not solved

hi, you may try the talk on yahoo messenger and use the web cam. I found yahoo is little bit fast and easy to use.

Hi have you installed service pack for xp, if not install SP 2 for XP which should solve the problem.

Some times BIOS disable webcam after updating it.

To enable it do the followings:

1. Restart your Eee PC.
2. Press F2 while booting (to enter BIOS sittings)
3. Go to "advanced" tab (by pressing right arrow)
4. Select "Onboard Device Configuration" (by pressing down arrow)
5. From there you can find if "Onboard Camera" is enabled or not.
6. If not, just press enter to pick "Enabled"
