Defrost it....just kidding. The hard drive is going bad. Try to connect to a computer and see if it recognizes the iPod. If it does, immediately transfer all your music to the computer before you loose it all because of the hard drive is going out.
You can store all your music on a USB stick drive and plug that into a usb port. You can stream Music from your computer over your network to the 360. http://www.microsoft.com/windows/windowsmedia/knowledgecenter/howto/mp11/xbox360towmp11xp_stepbystep.aspx
you can also burn it onto CDs then rip them on the xbox 360. http://www.gamespot.com/pages/forums/show_msgs.php?topic_id=26395382
unfortunately due to stupid DRM (digital rights management) you can't drag and drop music onto the 360 hard drive.
the only thing you can do is replace the hard drive. If you can not do this your self i would recommend you sell your ipod on ebay and specify the problem you are having. You will get about $50, and you can put that money towards a new ipod
You're going to need iTunes to do this, download it here. Once you've done this you can import all your music and videos to iTunes, and then use it to put your media onto your iPod.
Hope this helps!

YOu should use itunes. LIMewire is only trouble. The majority of hard drives and ipods i have to repair is because of the unfiltered garbage coming thru limewire. Now ipod will play universal formats, and you will need itunes to load music onto the ipod anyway as limewire cannot do that.
