It wont scan - Uniden BC278CLT Base Scanner

If the actual optic unit wont scan if you mean, check the left side of the scaner the Fix screw might not remove yet.

If the Scan (option) you mean , you have to install the driver to the COMPATIBLE PC. Check the BH-252 specs

it wont scan or printing anything

Make sure that the unit is not connected to the computer while scaning the alignment page.

if its not scanning and the power button is blinking then there is some hardware problem...clean the scanner bed..and try..if still doesnot work then its need s to be replaced..

Try to scan by pressing the scan button on the printer, if this works. Then try to scan from the application that came with the printer. Please let me know the results.

Ths scan button on the deskjeyt itself wont work, but the scand command done directly in the computer does.

well........ first of all it depends on the Operating System on you computer, then starting from there the advice that i can give you it is to fully uninstall the software and then install the software back using the version that is on hp.com
after that when you have the full sw installed you have to set up the scan button on the printer from the twain scan window but that will be a piece of cake. just make sure ot get the software properly installled.

For the printer to scan you have to have the Lexmark software installed and running. With the software running all you have to do is hit the scan button software can be found here
