This indicates that the antenna is not gathering enough of the signal to be played. This can be caused by an obstruction between the antenna and the satellite in the sky ie: tall buildings, heavy tree cover, covered garage, etc. It can also indicate a problem with the antenna itself, the cable between the antenna and the radio, the connector on the end of the cable or in the radio or, a problem with the antenna circuit inside the radio.
Since there's little you can do about the last item in the list, check the other parts of the antenna for damage. A pinched or crushed cable will short out the antenna signal - and the voltage sent to it by the radio. If allowed to persist for very long, damage to the radio could result. Look for breaks in the outer jacket of the cable - water entering the
cable will cause corrosion and will degrade the signal, too. If you find a problem with any part of the antenna system, about the only thing you can do is replace the antenna completely. You can get a
replacement online for as little as $9 and change.
Before installing, try connecting the antenna to the radio with the antenna exposed to ta clear view of the sky in a location that you were able to receive a signal before. If it works, you're done. If it doesn't - the problem is internal to the radio and will need to be repaired - or replaced.
I hope this was helpful - if it was - please rate it "4 thumbs up" Thanks!
