This is usually related to the setup of the printer. Check that there is no backfeed set up, and that the settings are on for calibration on head close.
Sounds like your PH has a bad spot or something stuck to it. Clean with rubbing alcohol and if the issue remains replace your PH. You will need to know what dpi you printer is to order the correct PH.
