If the Red Light Blinks twice and goes out, the TV is in Protection Mode. There are 6 voltage outputs to the lamps around the screen. If one of those outputs is missing the TV will sense that there's a problem and refuse to turn on. The predominant failure in this model are the output transformers on the Inverter board. A properly trained technician can measure the windings on each transformer and look for an open circuit, if one is found, replace that Transformer. i was given one of these sets from a friend and I replaced an output transformer ($11 w/shipping) and I now have a fully functional TV/DVD Combo. Also verify that all of the connecting cables internally are properly seated, there have been reports or the ribbon cables from the Power supply board to the main board above it not being fully inserted and it also prevented the TV from turning on. A word of caution. There are VERY High Voltages on the inverter circuit board, only persons with proper training and knowledge should attempt this repair.
