Not all acers have sd card slots..if you can not find one then i dont think you have one,,it can be on the front or the side of your laptop.
if there isn`t, he can try with external usb card reader of course

goto to start menu
click on my computer--this will show all drives and devices
find your media reader drive
right click on that--goto properties
click and you'll see different tabs, so go thru each of them
and try to restore all defaults--

Your card reader on your computer isn't capable of reading SDHC cards. You have to use a card reader approved for SDHC use.

I reccomend that if you can find a driver for your sd card slot, install it so that your slot could be compatible with all sd cards including HCSD cards.
