indeed i have the same problem. the cam worked perfectly in their first month. since a few weeks ago after recording a few minutes the sign comes up. so first i thought, maybe the tape is bad and i changed it. no way, same problem. its curios that it happends after a while or? sam when i cpatured it. first it works later comes this mechanical fault. the cam is less than one yaer, i would go back to the dealwer but havent asnymore the ticket. maybe its because the batterys are to weak?

got the same problem. vp-d361 cam gives "ex abrupto" the d-error. maybe the camera got a shock... on the floor or som'thing else.

  • jezzers Dec 22, 2007

i have the same error message. i shook the camcorder and laid it on its side when it started running, so it must be a bad connection somewhere. it is also noisy, and is just out of guarantee.

  • jackicook Jan 03, 2008

My daughters Samsung has the same problem - as soon as it's turned on it advises there is D error and there appears to be no solution to this

my camcorder has same problem eject tape and D

  • Anonymous Dec 14, 2008

My camera (2 years old) has got the same problem, eject "d" after a few minutes. Noticed it doesn't do it when run from mains power only.
Pretty sure it's the battery. It hasn't held its charge for long for quite a few months now. Going to order a new battery and see how it goes.

Used mine for many months, got past guarantee and started getting noisy, now all I get is a few seconds with the tape in and get error D mechanical error. Does the same if on battery or mains. it would be great if someone knew what the error code actually means. The camera seems to operate fine otherwise. I am wondering if the mechanical fault is connected to the tape loading mechanism or possibly the mechanicals that guide the tape inside the camcorder. I have done as advised but ejecting the tape / power on/off/on reload tape has no effect. Felt a little better when I realised that I was not alone with this problem.

2 year old samsung is noisey and has bad vibration, pulls batery down in seconds, sounds like tape head need some kind of lube or something

  • Maureen Kelly Aug 12, 2018

    Here is the SOLUTION:
    1) Gently unscrew and remove the front casing portion of the camcorder.
    2) Directly underneath the lens there is crosslike metal support that extends from the tape compartment chassis. The green circuit board should rest on top of it as shown below instead of being under.

This error is a mechanical malfunction, try this:

  1. Eject the tape.
  2. Set to OFF.
  3. Detach the battery.
  4. Reattach the battery.

Eject the tape and romove the battery pack. Take out the small button battery and refit after a few minutes. This worked for me.

HI! I'VE JUSTED WENT THRU THE GR-D770U MANUAL BUT HAVEN'T FOUND ANYTHING REGARDING STEPPING OUT OF THE "UNIT IN SAFEGUARD MODE", EJECT AND REINSERT TAPE, THERE IS ALSO 03 NUMBAR IN THE SCREEN! THANKS

To reset the error message, unplug the video camera from its power source and remove the battery. Wait at least two minutes. Next take out the cassette. Wait a few more minutes and then reconnect the power source. Replace the battery and then the cassette. Turn on the camera and see if the error returns.

In some cases, the solution is to press and hold the play button while you turn on the video camera. This starts the camera in playback mode and avoids the error. Turn off the camera, then press Rec while turning on the unit. This starts the camera in the recording mode and also resets the machine.

If neither of the above solutions work, try using a different cassette tape. Sometimes, the tape will slip when the camera does a self-test and a new cassette might not have the slack issue. This can trigger the error. Otherwise, the GR-D770U needs service. I hope this helps.

Tape will not run

The "will not run problem" was solved by replacing the CR-2025 Lithium battery. The eject symbol continues to appear sometimes and I can remove it and continue operating the camera by turning the power supply "Off then On" again. Camera is now running a recorded cassette but quality of picture is low.

Warning indicator C:32:00/C:32:11

I had the same problem (error c:32:00, beeps and tape would not eject. Cassette was halfway ejected) on my Sony CCD-TR416. I found the fix here:

http://www.camerahacker.com/Forums/DisplayComments.php?file=Video%20Camera/Sony/DCR_PC5E_Error_code_C_21.00.html

To summarize: remove the battery, unplug from the wall and smack the **** outta the bottom of the camera. It worked for me. It looks like my problem was that the tape had started coming out of the cassette body and caused a jam.

Flashing yellow arrow

Take the battery out and turn selection switch to camera and then turn it off. Put the battery back in and its working again.
if that doesn't work try
Try smacking the side of the camera relatively hard with the palm of your hand. Eject the tape and reinsert. You may need to do this a couple of times.

High pitched noise, then ejects tape

Hi friends. (Excuse my poor English). Well, i bought a SCD364 Samsung CamCoder that is physically and mechanically exactly as scd363. My scd364 also have the same problem. Because the warranty has expired, i discovered a solution. The problem ocurs due to a missing calibrati?n at tape motion mechanism then when the cam goes heat, the motor grazes with another part of the mechanism that this located very near (wax)causing a metallic noise, eating the battery and, finally the blinking "D" eject signal. I amazing when discovered that the solution is to open the tape compartment and place the opened camera infront of the air conditioning machine by 2 minutes in order to cool it. Once cold, the camera is ready to play or record again without noise and blinking "D".

Reading and bad disk

You can press the eject button on the drive behind the front panel or connect the ribbon cable from the drive to a PC to eject it. More instructions are on my website here: www.drx9000repair.netfirms.com/
