Broken lcd screen how much do you think it will cost to repair

Yes it costs but depends on what is broken the digitizer or the lcd screen to send it to apple i think it costs $149.00 but to do it yourself you could buy a digitizer from ebay.com for about $18.00.

i would think its not worth repairing as cost of screen would more then the cost of the tv, but you could try a company call dlec

SAD TO SAY, BUT THIS REPAIR IS PROBABLY MORE COSTLY THAN REPLACING THE CAMERA. FOR ONE, YOU WILL HAVE TO SEND IT IN TO BE REPAIRED AND THIS IS A VERY TIME CONSUMING DEAL! LABOR COSTS ON A REPAIR LIKE THIS ARE JUST TOO COSTLY UNLESS YOU JUST HAVE TO HAVE THIS CAMERA. BUT, YOU ARE LOOKING AT PROBABLY A MONTH OR LONGER FOR REPAIR AND I WOULD GUESS AT LEAST 1/2 OF THE COST OF THE CAMERA ,OR MORE. I KNOW THIS DOESN'T HELP MUCH, BUT AT LEAST YOU WON'T BE SHOCKED BY A HUGH BILL IF YOU SEND THIS IN TO BE REPAIRED.

a new screen off ebay will run any where from 35 to 50. hope this helps

If you have the screen it is a fairly straight forward repair, however the cost of the screen almost always will exceed the cost of replacing the set. Being as we got no model number here is a general cost of a 37 inch screen used by many manufactures, $ 895.00 plus a $300.00 core charge

Michael, my suggestion is that both units be scrapped. The plasma panel is broken the Dell and not cost effective to repair. If the inverter bds are missing in the Sharp, they were most pulled because the Sharp has a bad LCD panel. Not cost effective to fix either unit.

Sounds like a cracked LCD. That happened to my S400, and it was pretty evident the glass screen had broken. I bought a new one and installed it myself at a cost of under $40. Having a shop do the repair will cost quite a bit more. If you think this is the problem, do a Google search on "canon s400 lcd screen repair" and you'll find some resources to walk you through the ordering and replacement process.
