There are five ways to get the video and audio signals from the DVD player: HDMI, Coaxial, Audio/Video, S-video and Component video, which way did you use?

I see. I could not get information about the TV online. I guess it has an HDMI socket and you plug it in. Did you change the input of TV to the port? What was the problem?
Yes I changed the input to the relevant port, The TV would not recognise the DVD. Cant recall now if it suggested to amend the resolution setting on dvd player, problem is, I cant see the dvd index screen on the tv to do this!!
Do you have other cables such as audio/video cable (yellow for video)? You may just plug the video cable to see if you can see the screen. You need to plug into Line 2 Out on DVD and appropriate port on TV and select the correct "video in" port.

Hi Andrew, my problem is I have a USA Samsung TV and a UK DVD player. The Samsung tv doesnt recognise the Sony product which means I cant amend DVD spec via its index to make it more compatable with US output (bizarrely my wife has a cheap polaroid portable TV and DVD player works with this no problem!!). Any suggestions welcome!
