Assuming your wiring is correct, and assuming your sound is not muted... click the Start button, then click Run. In the box that pops up, type services.msc and press enter. In the window that pops up, scroll down until you find an entry for Windows Audio. Right-click it, and choose "Start" or "Restart" (whichever is available).

If this does not solve the problem, you should reinstall the audio drivers for your computer, which can typically be obtained from the manufacturer's website.

Javabytes

How do I find out why my peavey LTD 400 has no sound...it powers up, but no sound

Check the speakers for continuity. If the speakers are OK, the amop needs to go to the shop.

Zoostorm netbook mouse buttons

check to see if front pannel wiring board has the jack well placed there and all wiring is ok, if all ok you could try with contact spray within the jack itself, last option is to check if wires from front pannel to motherboard are placed where they should be, respecting the proper way of placement (+,-) , if that doesnt work, try installing your sound card again and it's application, in the application itself you should have a option : Pop-up when jack input detected. hope that helped you.

Woofer stopped working

Hi,
If power problem then change power socket. If power come then may be sound plug problem so you check it. If power ok, then not correct connect to PC. So you check it which point you are connect to woofer. If externally ok then open PC and check your sound driver proper work or not go to control panel- click sound and audio and check it your software working or not. And one time full computer scan and clean virus. If not solved go to computer technician and take support.

Thanks

I have a JVC CH-X1100 CD changer in my truck. The sound is only coming out clearly on the driver side speakers....the passenger side speakers sound very low and distorted.

It is only a loose or broken wire to the left speakers. Try at the speaker itself first, and then at the radio. If both of these connections are tight, then check back along the wiring and check that the wiring TO THE RADIO LEFT SPEAKER is OK. If OK, you may have a break in the wire from the radio to the speaker.. It could even be an internal break that is hard to see. The easiest way would be to replace that wire.

The horn just makes a clicking sound which sounds like its coming from the glovebox?

The clicking sound is probably the horn relay. Check for power at the horn wire when button depressed and that the horn is grounded. If everything checks out ok replace horn with known good part.

My blinkers stopped working, i think its the wiring

check the flasher relay first..to check it turn the blinker on and listen for a clicking sound...if no sound come out than it a flasher..if yes..than check the turn signal fuse..if it ok than check the wiring on the steering column for short and it will lead to lighting wire..hot and ground...i know you will find it if there a short...but start with the flasher and the fuse first before going into the wiring harness ... good luck

Sound replay quality

Some sound playing devices come with software that have different sound environment settings. Like Big Hall, Cinema, Pipeline etc. Check to see if you have set that environment to any such settings. If so, select no environment or none and try again.

No sound

Why would the sockets be bad??Is it that you move around the wires and the sound comes and goes?? Most likly it would be the rear channel amp. IC and this is a non consumer serviceable part. Check out the speakers on the front channel by switching the wires. If they come on then you know you have a problem with the rear Amp circuit. Contact a local repair shop and see if they can handle this repair . If not contact 800-211-PANA. Good Luck
