Dell diagrams How do I open up this computer? side? top?

Generally there are two screw that hold a side panel in place, they will be on the back of the tower on the right side if you are facing the back of the computer. You will seem them screwed into the panel. One of the top and one on the bottom. Slide the panel backwards, and pull it off. Some computers are different, depending on the model and manufacturer. Some dell computers have a handle on the back or side that you open it with. Never open the left side of the computer (when facing the back of the computer).

For mini tower

You need to lay the unit on its side. I believe there are butttons on the top and bottom back. You need to press both at the same time and lift (at the same time). The link below has a picture with it open.

Not 100% sure for the desktop.

on computer go to start, program/acessories/entertainment/voice recorder and click red record button.
speak some thing then stop and play back.

1. Locate the two release buttons shown in the illustration. Then press the two release buttons as you lift the cover.

   1. Facing the back of the computer, press the release button on the right side of the computer with one hand while pulling up on the top of the cover with the other hand.
      
      
   1. Press the release button on the left side of the computer with one hand while pulling up on the top of the cover with the other hand.
      
      
   2. Hold the bottom of the computer with one hand, and then pull open the cover with the other hand.

In the Service Manual main menu, left-click on - Opening the Computer Cover

1) Computer off, and unplugged from power. (Always unplug the power cable from the surge protector. Then if the power cable needs to be removed from the computer, do so)

2) Remove all cables to the computer

3) Lay the computer on it's Right side.
(As you face the computer, your right side is the computers Right)

4) There is a Release button on the Top of the computer case, and a Release Button on the Bottom of the computer case.
These are located at the Rear of the computer.

The preferred method of opening the computer case, is to press one release button in at a time, and slightly lift up on the side of the computer case, where that release button is located near.

Then go to the other side of the computer case, press this release button in, and lift up on the computer case.

The computer case opens like a clamshell. The computer case is hinged at the front.

Example:
Computer laying on it's right side. Press the Top release button in, and lift up on the computer cover located near the Top.

Now press the release button on the Bottom. Lift the computer case up.

The computer case opens from the back, towards the front, like opening a car hood.

Good day sir/maam, you need to open the side cover of the dell PC, now look at the picture below:

Turn the PC off, the encircled part is the memory slot, on its side is the release/locking lever, place the lever in the release (push it on the side) now insert the module vertically with then gently push it down until the lever snaps into lock. Do it with the next module, takes a little practice, if the module is snug and fit. thats it. Power on the PC. if you hear continuos
beeping, power the pc off, remove the modules and do the installation again. Do this several times until the PC response.

generally dell monitors open from the bottom they have slight indented flat spaces for a small flat head screw driver to twist and pop the frame apart I start on the bottom left and work my way right and then open the sides carefully and last the top.

the front plate doesn't need to come off to open the case.

Lay your computer on the side there should be a big button on top and also one on the bottom push both of these buttons and pull the sides back toward you.....it really takes two people to do this...
