SOURCE: my stanton c324 i replaced

Make sure that the solder dot is removed from the new mechanism or it will not play. One of my C-324's stopped working at a school carnival and later I found out that some solder had dripped on the same spot and caused the mechanism to quit.

I hope this helps.

Hello

Clean your CDs before and after playing them. Although the compact disc has a much longer lifespan than does something like a cassette tape, it can be more fragile. Scratches, dust or other damage to the data side of the CD will cause many CD players to fail to read the CD or cause the CD to skip.

Examine the type and format of the compact disc if your CD player fails to read it. Verify that your CD player can read the type of CD and the files contained on it. Just because you've burned a collection of songs to a CD, for example, doesn't mean that your CD player will be able to recognize that information. You must burn CDs in a specially formatted "Audio CD" mode to play them on a CD player, or your CD player must be able to recognize the MP3 file format. Some CD players have limitations on the type of CD they can read. Verify that your CD player can read CD-R, CD+R, CD-RW or CD+RW compact discs.

Update your CD player's driver, if your CD player is a drive connected to your computer. Click "Start" and select "Control Panel." Click on "Hardware and Sound" and select "Device Manager" under "Devices and Printers." Right-click the icon for your CD drive and select "Update driver software." This may solve any issues the drive was having with playing CDs.

I have a Stanton C.324 that won't accept discs. It is NOT the No Disc error, it's that it won't physically pull the disc in. I can hear the motor whirring but it doesn't pull the disc in and it just s

Same issue here! Forget all the laser talk, ain't always the issue. When the cd sticks, give the unit a couple of taps/knocks on the side. The cd goes in no problem. Do the same when you eject the cd. It's a workaround, i can still use mine! If you're using timecode cds, it's all good!

Stanton no disk

If it's a brand new laser there will be a blob of solder to remove or it will not play. this is to protect the laser from damage. It should be easy to spot on it's own

It's brand new, and it won't read disc

Run a cleaner disc thru 'em. If that doesn't fix it-take it back.

If you took it apart you might of voided the warranty. Try buying like a cd cleaner they sell them at bust buy and stuff and give that a try. If that doesn't work. Contact Stanton and Have them take a look at it for you.
