if says full and leaking on floor. it is full, you say empty, why make sure that it is empty, sensor in container to check level, so if it is empty, sensor fault, but leaking on floor, would indicate sensor ok, and container full
Is the float in the empty or full position?? If it is in the empty position, and the unit will run normally, then yes you can. The water will divert from the evap tray right into the hose. If it is stuck in the full position, and wont run because it thinks it's full, you will have to find a way to put and hold it in the empty position.
Unfortunately, I haven't been able to get the water from the dehumidifier to drain out the hose. It always empties into the bucket, which means I have to empty it daily.
