does it work with headphones plugged in? is there a volume button on the side of the laptop, or using the FN key and a volume icon on the keyboard that can mute the volume?
Does the set have a earphone jack? if dirty or damaged it will cut the TV sound out---about the only other possible reason is a audio problem in the TV itself---if possible put ear up to speaker to see if any sound or buzz is heard.
Have you checked by doing the following: 1) Go to Control Panel->Sounds and audio devices. 2) Click the Audio tab. 3) Under Sound Recording. 4) Click the Volume button. 5) Adjust the Microphone's volume till you can be heard.
Click open the Volume icon in the right bottom corner of the screen. Windows has a habit of muting the volume and other things. Please unmute volume na dht e sound will be heard.
install mother board drivers. if already installed see it in see it in system device manager hard ware and see if the hard ware is detected. if there is a yellow ? the driver is not installed, if its disabled enable it and lastly if the sys tray shows a volume speaker like icon and has a x on it ..it means sound is muted. or lastly volume kept so low as then no sound will be heard please check this all

My problem is that after driving for a while the volume reduces to where it can't be heard. Anyone else have this problem.
Try to increase the speaker levels through setup. I had the same problem and I increased the speaker level from 0dB to +10dB, and seems like it is better now. Let me know how you make out.
