"Next to the power port there is a small button with an arrow counterclockwise.
That is the NOVO button." now GONE forever.. i guess. thank gawd.

page 46 in your manual covers, how to gain BIOS page 1.
the key is F1, there is no novo button on this modern pC with UEFI and TMP chip security,
RTM , it covers every button on the PC,
googled for you e580 manual and 1st hit was...... this.

Press Fn key and F7 key together

1. Power off your Lenovo 2. Press the NOVO key, which will start the laptop in recovery mode and provide recovery options

If you have recovery DVD then u ll set factory setting otherwise no option. Always after successful installation create image with Ghost software or Nlite this both of software very useful.

Lenovo has a support site that you can go to, which I have linked to below. I have already narrowed down the pages so that you can scroll down to the keyboard section, and just click on the appropriate link. This will install drivers (basically what runs the novo key) that will fix your problem.

The correct driver should be located around the middle of the page or towards the bottom.
