The Solution is:
You must have the Oki Monitor Software installed
When you enter in to the software you have a button that say "Maitenace", then you have a option that says " Reset Drum Counter" or somthing similar. Click on the option and the message disappear from the display.
Sorry my bad english

SOURCE: Changed drum but it is still saying 'change drum'!

On some printers after you change the drum, you have to reset the counter so the printer knows the drum has been changed. How to reset the counter is as follows:
1. press the ONLINE button to return the printer to off line status.
2. press the MENU button repeatedly until the MAINTENANCE MENU is desplayed, then press the SELECT button.
3. Press the item button until DRUM COUNT RESET is displayed.
4. Press the SELECT button and the Drum Counter is reset.

Hope this helps.

SOURCE: OKI B6300 Drum problem

Hello, com_jedi. I would suggest you contact the OKI Customer Support line in order to address this issue. The phone number is 1-800-654-3282 (800-OKIDATA). For your model unit you would hit options 1 then 4 to get to mono support.

It is possible that you purchased a defective consumable and OKI warranties them for 90 after the date of purchase. If this is a new drum/toner it may need to be replaced to determine if it was a bad chip in the cartridge or if there is some other issue with the unit that is causing the error.

It is also possible there is a misalignment with the sensor that is located under the drum unit. A support tech can walk you through the troublehshooting as it would be a bit difficult to do here.

I hope this helps!

SOURCE: okidata b 4600 keeps saying change drum

You will need to replace the printer's drum cartridge. Just google oki b4600 drum to get hold of one. In the package will be a reset routine to follow when you do this.

How do I change the drum to a Canon NP 7130 Black and White copier?

Could be the drum or the fuser causing your problem. To replace drum you need to open the machine by hitting the gray release latch on eft ide of machine to clamshell it open. Inside you will see th toner cartridge/ dv unit on the far right and immediately to the eft of that is the drum unit. You need to release the dv unit by turning a lever before removing the drum unit. Should probably call a tech to do this for you so you dont scratch or damage the drum. Drum life on that model is about 30,000 prints. Whats the meter reading on that copier?

The machine i have is KONICA MINOLTA DI251OF.The light for the drum unit is on even after the drum been change. How can i get the light to turnoff

Was the developer also changed? Because who ever change the drum did it wrong. The first thing you do before you remove the old drum is cleared the drum counter, seems that was not done now the copier thinks the new drum is old and is applying the required voltages for a old drum even though the drum is new will have image problems and codes soon. Recommend you get a new drum, cleaning blade, and developer and replace them all their are normally done at the same time, because in a few week the developer will the go and so drum unit will show up a again. make sure you clear the counters first then install the parts and make sure you run the required F8 in service mode. Utility/Counter, Details then. stop00 stop01 for service mode. Under Function for F8 and counter for clearing developer drum image section which should be done after every forth drum the developer unit that hoses the drum and developer.

Says to change drum, changed drum and still says "change drum", will not print.....

After replacing the image drum cartridge, reset the drum counter to keep a correct count of the number of pages printed on the image drum.
1. Turn the printer on while holding the MENU 1/Menu 2 button. USERMNT displays in the control panel window.
2. Press MENU 1/Menu 2 three times. DRUM CNT RESET displays.
3. Press ENTER. The counter will reset and the printer will go ON-LINE.

Brother MFC6800-says change drum soon - is that hard to do?

This is a cartridge-type drum meaning that one can hardly do anything wrong.
I dealt with the company below for many years and was never disappointed with service or product:

Change Drum Soon - black vertical lines

This is probably the wrong place for you to post this as it seems to be a printer problem. However, let's try some ideas here.

1. Try getting some canned air and thoroughly cleaning the printer out. If there is dust in the paper path, it may start leaving marks. You don't specify any other print quality problems, but let's try that.

2. If that doesn't work , then you have to replace the fuser.

Good luck

Changing Drum

The drum is where the image is applied before being transfer to the paper. If the drum is wearing down the image will become poor. Changing the drum unit will make the image like new. So, yes you can run the drum catridge until you get a poor print out.
