Bios rom checksum error

The BIOS ROM chip on the motherboard is probably faulty. It could also be another component on the motherboard.Other thing that you could try is resetting the bios to system default. (Press F2/Delete key button while starting up to access system bios). If it does the same thing it means that the motherboard is broken.

You need to select the following
I have given numbers for each dropdown and the right choice you need to make
1- Mainboard
2- Intel Platform
3- Socket 370
4- VIA
5- VIA Apollo Pro 133T
6- There are 4 choises here, check the markings on the motherboard and choose this.
Most of the BIOS characteristics should match though.

Bios cheksum error

hi im josh in cebu phils. may i helped you? Friend you need to replace your cmos battery because The most common cause of a checksum error during the startup process is due to a faulty battery which is not providing sufficient power to the motherboard when the computer is off. However, motherboard malfunctions and viruses can also contribute to checksum errors. good luck.
