The wire that is connected to the first computer probably goes to your modem. Take the wire from the modem and put it into a wireless router that has wire output, put another wire from the modem back to your first computer. Then check the settings. You should then run the setup program for the new router so that you can set the wireless security and other settings.

I'm trying to hook up a second computer in my son's room. Problem - how do I connect the second computer to my Comcast cable router which is a Motorola SB5100 so he can get internet over the cable?

In the picture, it looks like a wireless router. In that case, his computer just needs a wireless card to get the internet. Or, you can hard wire it directly from the modem to the computer, if you don't have a wireless card for the computer.

Unable to use wireless feature on second computer on the network

The second computer's wireless card may not have the latest wireless card driver installed or it is not enabled and working. Check Device manager to see if is is working and enabled. I suggest you install the latest wireless card driver.
Next check the wireless card configuration, it needs to have the wireless router's settings, ie SSID and encryption etc.

How to setup Linksys Wireless-G Broadband Router WRT54G. I want to stetup my computer, wireless, to another computer with internet access

Have you already setup one of your computers to connect to the Internet using the wireless router?
If so you can setup the second computer the same way and it also will connect to the internet. There is no need to access the Internet through the other computer.

Wireless is working but computer won't connect to the internet

Remove the power cord from the router. Wait 30 seconds. Reconnect the cord. Like rebooting a balky computer.

You may also have other routers nearby on the same broadcast channel.

Occasionally cordless 2.4ghz phones may jam the wireless channels.

Chose another channel from the router setup.
