SOURCE: Don't know voltage setting for charging this unit.

You can use any adaptor that supply 12V or more. If you have at least 800ma of current, and 12V or higher it will do the job. Higher voltage rating will charged it much quicker but you have to watch it.

SOURCE: Xantrex PowerPack 300 will not hold a charge

Machine no longer takes a charge. Light remains yellow, if you plug anything in there's not enough power. Any suggestions? Purchased XPower Powerpack 300 Plus from QVC appx. 6 - 8 years ago.

Xantrex XPower PowerPack 300 will not charge even after replacing both battery and adapter. What else can I try?

Either charger has an issue or new battery is boogus. Check charger output for specs. Subject battery to a few discharge/charge cycles. If charger is definitely good and battery will not charge fully after a few cycles then you have confirmed that new battery is bogus.

When i plug in (AC) my PP300 the "charged" green light flashs and there is a ticking sound. It will not charge.

There's nothing wrong with the battery pack. The battery in the flashlight is dead. Had this same problem, swapped out the batteries in the flashlight, problem went away.

Hi there I lost my adapter for my FGA # 852 0302 Power pack 300 and I was wondering which adapter I needed and where I can buy one. Thanks Neil

Follow this link for the manual: http://www.xantrex.com/documents/Discontinued-Products/445-0092-98-01_rev_2_(xP300_web_english).pdf

Unfortunately, the manual doesn't list the specifications for the AC adapter you need. You can however, charge the Powerpack via the cigarette lighter in your car. (see p. 16 of the manual). Also, look at p. 23 of the manual.

Clicking sopund when trying to charge

This may be normal activity if the battery is near full charge and there is a load on it.

It may also be caused by the panel being in just enough light for the controller to think that it is able to turn on, but then turns off again due to insufficient current

Or it could be a bad battery that is drawing too much current for the controller's limits.

I bought a new Powerpack 300 and never had a use for it. It was plugged in for a year and when I decided to test it everything worked until I plugged in any AC appliance.. It just doesn't seem to have the...

Your battery is likely damaged from being plugged in for a year. The battery is a sealed lead acid battery inside, probably a 12 or 17AH job. Proper way to store a lead acid battery is to keep in cool dry location, and top off charge each month or two by charging according to manufacturer guidelines.

If you can figure out how to get into the case, you can replace the battery.
