My kitchenaide refrigerator overheat light is flashing

Correct me im mistaking but is that a buildin kitchenaid. If it is there is a service flash for evaporator fan motor. If you already changed the main board then the only other thing that can cause that is that service flash is a kit evaporator fan and the Bimetal. I would suggest to call kitchenaid and get the part number unfortunately I dont have it handy. But most likely thats the problem.

I would suggest trying to clean out the ventilation intake. If hair or dust bunnies clog the air intake, it will overheat and shut down.

unplug it for about 5 to 10 minutes and then plug it back in.

Assuming that both freezer and refrigerator temperatures have risen and the humming sound that you heard was followed by a sudden click more than likely the start device on the compressor has gone bad. This is a common problem with all Whirlpool refrigerators (KitchenAid is Whirlpools top of the line product and suffers the same problem).

the emitter/receiver has gone bad and will need to be changed out. the part number is 4389102 at about 130.00

Flashing light means there was an error. Turn it off for 30 seconds and then back on and see if it cycles. Is there a cube stuck in the ice maker harvest fingers?

If the filter is clogged (0% left), you may not get the water you are looking for.

you have a bad compressor. if the refig is under 5 years old then the repair should be in warranty to kitchenaid. Good luck Peyton

Red light flashing and NO ice. I used a hairdryer to hopefully clear the frozen waterline and it made 1-ONE row of ice and stopped and the red light still flashing. help!
