Open your media manager. Push menu button and select "explore".
Navigate through your device memory until you find the file you want to transfer. Highlight the file, push the menu button and select "move".
Navigate back up the file tree by selecting "up" until you see the memory card folder. Select the memory card folder, and choose the option to "put file here".
Keep in mind, you can not load programs from your memory card. You can only put files there (music, documents, ebooks, etc).

It all depends on the file types you want to put on the Blackberry.
if you're looking to use it as a sort of flash drive, you can simply connect the phone to the USB and copy files and make folders using Windows Explorer.
If you're looking to just throw MP3's onto the phone, you don't need to use the desktop manager, you can use explorer too but you have to put them in the music folder.
Videos require using the Desktop Manager/Roxio Media manager software to convert them into MP4 files for viewing.
I've tried using mpg and avi formats but the are too large and cause the audio not to sync with the video.
Start the desktop manager, start the media manager from that, click videos, photos, etc and choose the tab on the top associated with windows browsing. locate the file and "copy down" to the BB and it will convert if you choose to do so.
Press Menu and select Media > Menu > Explore > Highlight desired files and then press Menu. Scroll down and select Move now select Up and select Media Card and then desired folder.
We hope this helps!
