Possibly a short in your power cord. Try plugging into a different outlet before replacing the cord. Also make sure the contacts where you plug the cord into the coffee pot are clean and not loose/broken.

33600 not staying hot.

According to West Bend, not cleaning it, especially the heating unit well, will cause this. Here's the link for your manual. Go to page 3. This manual covers 3 models, including #33600. http://www.manualslib.com/manual/189911/West-Bend-13500.html#manual

My westbend coffee perculator is tripping my circuit breaker

often happens when using the Westbend and other appliance on the same circuit. Once the coffee is perked heat maintenance is no problem for the circuit, but two heavy users on the same circuit, i.e., coffee maker and microwave or coffee maker and roaster oven is asking too much

Where can I replacement filters for a 100 cup West Bend coffee maker?

The West Bend Large Capacity Coffemakers do not use replacement filters. The manual for the West Bend 33600 Large Coffee Urn is available here:

http://www.westbend.com/supportdata/L5613B_LargeCapacityUrns-All.pdf

Use an electric perk or regular grind coffee in the percolator basket rather than a 'drip' or finely ground coffee that would require a filter.

If you require a new basket, please see the West Bend on-line replacement part site here:

How to measure coffee for 45 cups. Also is a filter needed.

The Instruction Manual for your coffee maker can be found here:

http://www.westbend.com/supportdata/L5613B_LargeCapacityUrns-All.pdf

100-CUP MODEL #33600

Water Level Measure of Ground Coffee

100 cups 6 ¼ cups

80 cups 5 cups

60 cups 4 cups

40 cups 2½ cups

Do not make less than 40 or more than 100 cups of coffee at one time. Use electric perk or regular grind coffee; a filter liner is not necessary.

My 33600 leaks were the cup indicater meets the spout, can it be tightened or is there an o-ring that can be replaced? Tony @ Arizona Party Rental

There is an o-ring that is in there to seal keep the seal between the spout and the level. However, that seal is not available as an individual piece from West Bend. The spout and level come complete as one unit.

West Bend 33600 heats to 178 degrees

Im sure one of the thermostats is a high heat thermostat but more than likely the element is covered with lime, I would put some diluted "Lime Away" and let it soak for a few hours then drain it and run clear water through it three of four times.

If this doesn't work for you then I would change the high heat thermostat.

West Bend 33600 doesn't heat - how do I test thermal fuse?

Yes, if you have no continuity across a thermal cut-off, that means it is blown.
