My Xbox 360 won't show up on my tv screen

Ok when I turn on my Xbox 360 I have to put it on this one input chanel. The cables are connected in it already. But when I turn it on I won't see it on my screen. I can still hear everything. But I don't know if the problem has to do with the cables.

This problem is common and is usually fixed the same way that RROD is fixed by doing an Xclamp fix. If it is not just a cabling issue than that is what the problem is.

My dynex tv only shows channel not available message?

Okay- the three cables (red, white, and yellow) are called RCA plug connectors. They are commonly used to carry audio and video signals.
Plug them into your Xbox according to the color codes- red cable connector to the red socket (jacks); then white to white, and yellow to yellow.
Now connect these leads to the RCA input jacks in the back of your t.v. - maintaining the same color code connections (red to red; white to white, and yellow to yellow)
The RCA input jacks on your t.v. should be labeled with an input number, to distinguish itself from the other inputs, like HDMI, S-Video, and such.
After plugging in your Xbox to the wall outlet or surge strip, turn it on.
Turn your t.v. set on.
With the remote control that came with your t.v. set, open the menu bar, scroll to... and open the "External Output" menu.
You should see a list of [however many] inputs your particular t.v has. Scroll to the input number that the 3 RCA cables are attached to, and press that number as the default video screen.
Exit the prompts and your Xbox video screen should be displayed.

How do you get your xbox 360 to play, on a 65'' mitubishi projection tv,its connected but nothing comes on screen when i put a movie in just a blank screen and no sound,if i'm on a channel, the channel...

Hello

The Xbox 360 connects to a TV using either

- COMPONENT (red blue green for video, red and white for audio

- COMPOSITE (yellow for video, red and white for audio)

- HDMI

So, if your TV is on a "Channel", it is not on the correct input to view the Xbox 360.

Check the Xbox and verify which cables it is using to connect to the TV. When you find this, follow the cable to the back of the TV and find the input selection. It should be listed as the type and a number (i.e. HDMI 2, COMPONENT 1).

Have the Xbox on. Use the TV remote and use either the INPUT or the MENU options to change the input to the input that matches the port that the Xbox is connected to.

This should make the Xbox work.

When you are done with the Xbox, use the INPUT or MENU to change back to the tuner to watch TV.

Got new dvr box (not HD connection). had to use inputs that xbox was connected to on tv for my dvr. how do I connect the xbox 360 now so that we can use it without switching out the connections?

There are a couple ways to do this. The cheaper way is to buy some RCA Y adapters. You'll need one for each input (3, probably). Plug the male end into your TV, then plug the (yellow, red or white) cable from the XBox and DVR into the other ends of the cable. The downside of this is that you'll need to turn off the box you're not using in order to see the screen OK.

The slightly more expensive way is to purchase a switch box from Best Buy or Radio Shack or any where on the internet. The switch box will work like the Y adapters, but you can have both boxes on. If these are the only two devices that you need to use, then you only need a 2 way switch. Buy the switch and three RCA cables. Plug the RCA cables into the back of the switch in the output holes, and plug the other end into the TV. Plug the DVR and XBox cables into the input sections of the switch. Then you press one button for DVR on the switch and the other button for the XBox.

Xbox 360 elite, no out put, blank screen ?

Make sure your connections are correct. If your using the HD component cable make sure the switch is selected to HD, if you have a HDTV or TV for a regular CRT tv.

HDMI, select the proper input on your tv remote.

I can hear my xbox but can't see the screen

first off make sure that the chanel is set to the right input. check all your input chanels and make sure that its not on a diferent channel. also check both chanels 03 and 04 if you have an older model.

if all that is not doing anything then there mite be an issue with the av cabels see if any of them are missing the silver cover to go over the pin. if not then the cabels mite be cut inside it befor you go out and by new one try it out on a different tv and with a different xbox to see if theres anything. if the problem persists then i sugjest getn a new av cable for the xbox 360

When i try to connect my xbox 360 to my Vizio hdtv it doesnt not recognize the connection. I have tried replacing the cord to no avail

I have a Vizio 37' tv with an Xbox 360 and it works fine. I am a Cable repair tech, hook up the xbox using the composit cable first RCA these are the red white and yellow cable to a non high def input on the tv, if that works check the settings in the xbox, there is a screen that will allow or enable HD quality pictures. Also check the Xbox cable itself. at the Y there is a small swiitch that goes from componet to composit you can only get HD if you use the Red Blue Green cables, then make sure you have the TV input set to that input other wise you will have only a blue screen. If that does not work, Hell, call the cable company if you are a customer, they should send someone out to show you how to connect it, and they might not even charge you, we don't, but I work for a smaller company, not ComCast or Cox, If you want to email me you can [email protected], good luck
