How do I get my vtech DECT 6.0 handset to ring when off the base

SOURCE: phone doesn't ring on incoming calls

i cannot fix the number of times for the ringer on my vetch phoneset

SOURCE: My Phone will not connect to the base unit...

My handset displays CONNECTING...
Move the handset closer to the telephone base. You might have moved out of range.

This is what was listed in the Vtech Manual.

What I suggest is not just powering it off, but remove battery and wait a couple of minutes. Put battery back in and try it. The other thing I suggest is a new battery or switching it temporarily with a phone that works, to see if that helps before you buy a new one. If the battery is weak it will have trouble reaching the base.

Off (you're backing out of the whole menu)

Off (You now get "Out of range or no pwr at base"

Pull the battery
Replace the battery
(you now have an unregistered handset)

Thank you, this worked for me and I can now register my old handsets from my lightning struck base to my new base, (of a different model, but it still works.)
