I wouldn't expect a TV remote to work on an air conditioner.

Check the safety photo cells. If they are not working that will keep the door from closing. If they are OK then it is probably a bad logic board assuming the down limit is not tripped or shorted.

You need to tell your Sky Remte, what the TV is otherwise the volume control on the Sky remote will not be recognised.

NICE! got one too! did it come with a receiver in it or were the guts pulled out? most likely going to be easier to hit a hobby shop or ebay and pick a new system out for it because if it did come with a receiver to be reliable you should match brands after that you will need to make sure the crystals are matched for frequency good luck have fun I think some parts for it may be getting hard to find.
