Question about Samsung CLX 3160fn All-In-One Printer

My printer is not printing

The message says: "printing.............................Magenta Toner Supply error"

What do i do

    Hi have the clx-3160fn now for 2 months (I have a low print rate, 10 per day)but today I printed my first mailing 100 copies... after 30 or so the warning came... Toner supply error (black) ... the manual does not give any solution...

    I have this problem as well. I bought the printer last month, and use it almost one month. But the red color is not working good, the left hand side doesn't have red color. I have a very bad impression from Samsung, cos' this is the first one I bought from samsung.

    Have the printer a couple of days and already the ink is fading on one side of the printed documents.

    What can the problem be?

    I have a similar problem first it made a grinding noise, then I received a Black Toner supply error message. I purchased a new toner cartridge and replaced the first one. Nothing prints.

My printer at work kept saying it was low on black toner. I finally replaced when I got the message Black toner supply error. I gave it a minute or two to adjust itself and when that didn't work, I turned off for about ten seconds and then restarted it. I've only had two problems with this printer and I have had to turn it off both times before it would work perfectly, if that helps anyone.

Unpluged the CLX-3160FN and repluged. the cyan toner supply error went away and the printer now works fine. Thanks for your help.

I had the same problem with my cyan on the 3160, it turned out to be a bad imaging unit and I had to return the printer through Staples because I couldn't get support from Samsung. Good luck.

I have a Lexmark C522 Color Laser printer, all cartridges are showing as ok, no error messages but printed pages have specks of magenta toner on them


It sounds as though you have a leaking toner cartridge. If you aren't using Lexmark brand toner, that is VERY likely.. nobody seems to be able to make a good compatible cartridge. Test by replacing it.

Please try the steps provided below.

Step Action 1
Power off the printer/MFP and open the toner access door. Reseat all of the toner cartridges. Power on the printer/MFP again and print a test page.
Did the error message return?
Yes: Continue to Step 2.
No: The error is resolved. 2
Power off the printer/MFP and remove the developer unit for the color specified in the error message, and then reseat it. Power on the printer/MFP again and print a test page.
Did the error message return?
Yes: Continue to Step 3.
No: The error is resolved. 3
It is possible that specified color's toner cartridge and developer unit are defective. If you have a replacement toner cartridge and developer, install them as a test and print a trial page.
Did the error message return?Yes: Continue to Contacting Lexmark.
No: The error is resolved. If the toner and/or developer were not near the end of their working life.

Hi, the chip on those toner bottles stores information about how much toner is left, so once that chip registers an empty toner bottle, it won't work even if you attach it to a new toner bottle. You'll need the chip from a new toner bottle, or one that hasn't registered no toner.

That is a magenta toner empty message, either the magenta cartridge is empty or there is an issue with the magenta toner dispensing.

WHAT DOES THE ERROR MESSAGE 377 MEAN?


It means that there is Magenta toner density sensor error.Try to reset or replace Magenta development unit and then turn the printer off and back on.It should fix the problem,providing that the Magenta toner supply channel is not clogged up and functioning properly.

I called the OKI help number, in the manual, and they told me that the second line of the error message, was just an additional reminder, to replace the magenta toner.

What does 10.0002 supply error mean?


10.0002 Magenta cartridge e-label error Error message 10.0002 supply error alternates with Reinstall c00381084.jpg with a ? under the Magenta print cartridge gas gauge Description E-label cannot be read or print cartridge is not properly installed. Action
  1. Open the front cover of printer and remove the toner cartridge exhibiting error.
  2. Inspect the print cartridge to ensure the e-label reader is attached to print cartridge and is not damaged.
  3. Inspect the inside of printer to verify the e-label does not have any product packing tape still attached.
  4. Inspect the e-label reader to ensure the gold contact points are not damaged or bent. Also inspect the black plastic on e-label reader to ensure it is not bent or broken.
  5. Reinstall the print cartridge.
  6. Power cycle the device.
  7. If reinstalling the print cartridge does not resolve the issue, replace the print cartridge.
  8. If the problem continues, contact HP Customer Support Center for technical assistance

Replaced Toner- It Still Won't Work


it is possible that it is not installed correctly, ensure that it fits rightly on its place, oterhwise there is no way it would resume printing, reset the unit once again open and close the covers and turn the switch on and off to reset

Magenta cartridge empty


When you take the toner cartridge off the imaging unit, is there magenta toner in the open slot of the IU? Assuming that there is nothing wrong with the toner cartridge, you are possibly looking at a bad engine control board.
