ENTERED CODE RED LIGHT GOES ON AND NORMAL SOUNDS HEARD BUT GREEN LIGHT DOES NOT GO ON. AHNDLE MOVES FREELY (WILL NOT LOCK DOOR) rECENTLY CHANGED BATTERIES

    do not know what the first key is(the #). also present code is 4 digits.(should say was,because green light never comes on)sounds like we are getting some where and if we do I'll pay another fee for your time

    took out batt,pressed last button on bottom right for 30 sec,abd no beep. Reinstalled batt,and red light comes on and system beeps,but green light does not come on,AND THE HANDLE MOVES FREELY,SO THAT THE DOOR is not locking. it can be opened just by turning lever

    when entering code red light stays on and high pitch noisy (like beep) is constant until press handle or other itrems then it stops squiling.

    door does lock and handle outside will not open door. I was wrong on that

The battery change probably reset it to defaults, do you have the manual, Try the default code.

if you don't know or don't have a manual please post me the brand and model.

this is repairable,. did you check the solinoid? and please check the solinoid jacket,. maybe this is the problem,. if the solinoid is defective you got no luck to lock or to unlock this unit..

    it can be but as it is a lock, it may be difficult to open, you will need to remove the top cover to find fault, if you cannot then it will have to be replaced.

Thank you first person that has provided a model number sounds like you already changed the lid lock assembly if you did you know how to get the top up inside the front panel is a tech sheet it will tell you how to place the unit into diagnostic and read the lights for an error code recheck your connection at the control board a flashing lid lock would should give and F5E1 or F5E2 error code also check the alinement of the tab on the lid where it goes into the lock assembly should be a smooth transition

How do i set code for paragon safe
INITIAL BATTERY INSTALLATION
1. Remove the key plate cover, insert the key into the keypad and open the door.
2. Remove the battery cover plate located on the inside of the door.
3. Install 4 AA batteries provided and replace the battery cover.
NOTE
: If both the red and green lights are on while the safe is open, this indicates that the batteries are low and need
to be changed.

TO SET UP OR CHANGE A USER CODE
1. With the door open, locate the red button on the back of the door near the hinge.
2. Press the red button and listen for the beep.
3. Immediately enter your new passcode (3-6 digits long)
4. Immediately after entering your new passcode, press the "A" or "B" button on the keypad. Your new user passcode is now stored.
NOTE:
This safe stores up to 2 passcodes (a user code and a manager code). Entering a third code will erase the
first passcode entered.

SETTING UP OR CHANGING A MANAGER PASSCODE
1. Open your safe with the passcode you wish to change and leave the door ajar.
2. Press the "0" button on the keypad twice. Press the red button, listen for a beep and then enter your new user passcode.
New user passcodes may be 3-6 digits long.
3. Immediately after entering your new code, press the "A" or "B" button on the keypad. Your user code is now changed.
OPENING THE SAFE
1. Input your code and then press the "B" button, the green light will turn on.
2. Turn the knob clockwise within 5 seconds to open the door.
3. Each key pressed will be accompanied by a buzzer and a yellow flashing light. If the entered code is invalid the yellow light will
flash and the buzzer will quickly sound, this indicates the code needs to be re-entered.

CAUTION
: Entering the incorrect passcode 3 times will lock the system for 20 seconds.

hi something similar has started happening to our washer, after the initial wash starts the machine doesn't do anything for a while then the red door light flashes on and off very quickly as does the 1st and 3rd green wash cycle light?

Maytag Washer Lid lock light
Its normal for the machine to cycle the lock before starting its cycle. I'm assuming your machine is a bravos style.

I have a Defiant Electronic deadbolt from home Depot. model G1X2D01. ive lost the manual and i need to delete some old codes from it.
Snap off the back cover (opposite where you punch the numbers) by pinching the sides and pulling off. Do not press a pen or anything into the small light, you do not need too. Just pinch and yank off cover. You will see a small light and beside it is a small SET button by the batteries, it is labelled.. Press this Set button for 2 seconds. The red LED will light on the front code side and beep twice to indicate you are in programming mode. Enter your current code that you want to change (factory set is 12345) and then press the button that looks like a little lock on the keypad. Enter the digits "10" and press the lock button again. Enter the new code (must be six digits) and then press the lock button again. The red light should go on continously for 10 seconds. The code should be effective.
Note: if you have problems like we did, you can also remove one battery and press the "set" button simulataneously when you reinsert the battery. This resets the factory code of 12345. Then you can start over. For some reason our old code was only 4 digits, but it would not let us reprogram a 4 digit code. It didn't work until we did a 6 digit new code.

How to change or program code on your Craftsman Liftmaster keyless keypad made by Chamberlain.

1. Program using the "Learn" Button

2. Within 30 seconds, enter a four digit personal identification number (PIN) of your choice on the keypad. Then press and hold the ENTER button.

3. Release the button when the motor unit lights blink. It has learned the code. If light bulbs are not installed, two clicks will be heard.



Program using the Multi-Function Door Control

NOTE: This method requires two people if the Keyless Entry is already mounted outside the garage.

  1. Enter a four digit personal identification number (PIN) of your choice on the keypad. Then press and hold ENTER.
  2. While holding the ENTER button, press and hold the LIGHT button on the Multi-Function Door Control. Both of these should now be held down at the same time.
  3. Continue holding the ENTER and LIGHT buttons while you press the push bar on the Multi-Function Door Control (all three buttons are held).
  4. Release buttons when the motor unit lights blink. It has learned the code. If light bulbs are not installed, two clicks will be heard.

Change an Existing, Known PIN



If the existing PIN is known, it may be changed by one person without using a ladder.

  1. Press the four buttons for the present PIN, then press and hold the # button. The opener light will blink twice. Release the # button.
  2. Press the new 4-digit PIN you have chosen, then press ENTER.

The motor unit lights will blink once when the PIN has been learned.

Test by pressing the new PIN, then press ENTER. The door should move.




Your new Keyless Entry must be programmed to operate your garage door opener

Sounds like the 9 volt battery is very low, please put in a new, fresh 9 volt battery and see if that helps, as you've already addressed any issues with sticking, etc. When the battery(ies) are low, some electronic locks don't have enough power to fully pull in the dead bolt and the internal spring can overpower the small motor and cause the lock to re-engage quickly.

If you're getting a flashing red light when you enter in your key code, followed by flashing green light, your battery is low, if you're getting a flashing red light, the batteri is critically low.

If you have recently installed this lockset, it is possible that the alignment is off and is causing the deadbolt to drag and is preventing free movement. You'll need to adjust the lockset to allow the deadbolt to move freely by turning the hand knob with the door shut all the way.

After entering the code and opening the door the code does not reset and you can open the latch without re-entering the combo, can this be fixed? when you release the handle after opening the door the handle does not rotate left automatilcally. You have to turn the handle all the way left in order to reset the combo and secure the door.
