OKI Pacemark 3410 Matrix Printer Error Writing to LPT1

I am receiving an error when printing to the Pacemark 3410 and the alarm light is red and blinking and no matter what button is pushed the light continues to blink. I have turned the printer off and on as well as the PC and the alarm light never goes off.

A blinking alarm usually means an hardware error of some type, such as an obstruction on the printhead, or a bad motor or such.
When you have a blinking alarm light the other lights that are on will give you an error code that will tell you what the alarm means. You will need to look it up at Okidata.

Cannot stop print. Printing hundreds of pages and I cannot stop them from printing, I do not have access to control panel to cancel the printing manually. Please help asap!

Turn the printer off and discinnect it from its power supply. This should clear its memory buffer and you can start afresh.

Is there a way to reset the printer if you want to stop a job midway when i print a report? OKI Pacemark 3410 Matrix

yes, clear all print jobs in the print queue on the PC.
The press "Stop" on the printer.
2. Turn the printer off for 1 minute the restart
3. Shut the PC down and restart.
This will clear the memory for both devices.

Oki 3410. No lights, no carraige movement after cycling power.

The problem turned out to be the power supply.

PRINTER ONLY PRINTING PARTIAL LETTERS EVEN AFTER INSTALLING BRAND NEW RIBBON. IT HAS BEEN GETTING PROGRESSIVELY WORSE FOR LAST 6 MONTHS

The printing head(s) may need to be cleaned.

Pacemark 3410 - printer shuts off after 30 seconds

Good chance the power supply is burned out. Located in the rear bottom of unit. You must remove the whole machine from case to get to it. Costs about $200.00 at any shop.

I have an Okidata Pacemark 3410 and the alarm light is blinking and will not print. i turn on and off and the alarm light just comes back on.

Normal 0 This doesn’t help fix all printers because each situation is different and in most cases we don’t have enough information to determine the fix. So hope this will provide some help.

Could have a corrupt driver.
Disconnect the printer or at least be sure it is turned off. I'd do both and when the CD software program asks you to connect the printer to the USB port, do so and it should again work properly.
