Fixed optical interfaces on the S5700EI, S5700SI, S5710LI, and S5700HI support 100M optical modules, while interfaces on extended front cards do not support 100M optical modules.

In the S5700LI series, only the S5700-28X-LI-24S-AC, S5701-28X-LI-24S-AC, S5700-52XLI- 48CS-AC, and S5700-28X-LI-24S-DC support 100M optical modules on their GE interfaces.

The S5710EI series switches support 100M optical modules only on their combo interfaces.

When a GE optical interface of the S5700 works at 1000 Mbit/s, it can only use a 1000M optical module. When the interface works at 100 Mbit/s, it can use either a 100M optical module or a 1000M optical module.

Why Cannot an Up Interface Be Selected as the Working Interface?

The reason is that this interface works in half duplex mode.
On a switch such as S5700-28P-LI-AC, S5700-28P-PWR-LI-AC, if the rate of an interface is the same as that of member interfaces in an Eth-Trunk, this interface can be added to the Eth-Trunk. However, if this interface works in half duplex mode, the Eth-Trunk will not select it as the working interface.

Why Is the VLAN Priority Configured on the S5700 Invalid?

Fault Symptom The outbound interface of the switch joins a VLAN in untagged mode. When the remark 802.1p command is configured on the outbound interface, the configuration is invalid.
