Is there a Sony DAV DX255 set up disk? - Sony DAV-DX255 System

If it does this on all dvd's then the unit has lost its ability to play dvd disks and is in need of replacement.

It depends what connections the TV has. If it has HDMI sockets then you should be able to connect the player via one of them. The sound should be connected using an optical lead from the player to the Sony Center.
However you will not be ever be able to play a 3D movie till you have a 3D TV. It will simply not work.
So at the moment you have purchased a an expensive 3D player which can only play back normal Blu-Ray's and DVD.

Look on the back and see if u have a set of rca jacks for that sub. if not u will need a reciever that has a set of jacks for audio out.

Are you sure that your AV cables are hooked up properly on the TV from the reciever?
