When I want to download my pictures from my camera - a little box appear saying : Cannot get the device informatin..." What must I do?

Try NOT connecting your camera to your computer.

The best way to download pictures from your camera to your computer involves removing the memory card from the camera and plugging it into a card reader (either built-in to the computer or connected via USB). This is likely to be faster than connecting the camera to the computer, and won't run down your camera's batteries.

Once the card is plugged in, it will appear to your computer as a removable drive. You can use the operating system's drag&drop facility to copy pictures from the card to the computer's hard drive, the same way you copy any other files. Or you can use any photo management program such as Picasa ( http://picasa.google.com ).

If you insist on connecting the two, what version of what operating system are you using? What program is showing you the box?

try this go into device manager, remove ALL the USB, uninstall all the drivers, reboot PC, install the software that came with your camera, reboot, at next desktop, wait say a few mins, and NOW plug in your camera, you should hear a dong dong, it will then either install or ask for drivers, point it to the software that you used to install, wait until finished and with it still attached, reboot, wait until desktop appears next time, and wait a little bit, now your camera should work.

Hello. With your computer turned on try plugging in the cables with the camera turned off. After the connections are made turn the camera on. This usually works for my Kodaks. If that don't work right click" My Computer" and see if your camera shows up there under "devices with removable storage". If it does you can right click to open , view and move as you wish.

First try going to your control panel,
  • click on sounds and audio devices,
  • click on audio at the top of the sounds and audio devices properties box
  • after that your default device should be listed under sound recording.
  • click on volume where it says sound recording should have a picture of a microphone, a recording control box should pop up, make sure the microphone box has a check in it,
  • click on advanced under the microphone box, put a check in the microphone boost box.
  • then exit from the control panel and right click on the icon of the little speaker at the bottom of your task bar.
  • click on open volume control.
  • your volume control box will appear, make sure the microphone mute box is not checked.
  • then set your microphone level.
